PHILADELPHIA, JUNE 24, 1795. TO WHICH IS ANNEXED A COPIOUS APPENDIX.
Duodecimo (12mo: 4-1/4" x 6-3/4") bound in contemporary calf recently
rebacked with a new sympathetic spine; 283 pages. Evans 29752; Howes
T-341: "Though the 1783 Peace Treaty gave the Northwest Territory to
the United States, actual possession of strategic posts was not
relinquished until after this treaty (Jay's) of 1794"; Sabin 96577. A
gathering of documents in support of the 1795 Jay Treaty, printed in
the same year as the first printing of Jay's Treaty. Includes the
Treaty as well as the United States Constitution and the 1783 treaty
with Great Britain ending the Revolution. Early bookplate of Perrin
May on the front pastedown. Endpapers a bit ragged; some splitting to
paper covering hinges but very tightly bound. Scattered, light
foxing. Very Good $750.00
