Photographic frontispiece portrait. Orig. red cloth, front cover & spine stamped in gilt 
(slightly dulled). Inscribed & signed on the front free endpaper, “With 
unceasing blessings, Swami Yogananda” and also in his hand, “Thru these listen to 
His Whispers, SY. Oct 1932.” Ownership signature on front pastedown. Very 
scarce.     $3,500.00 (trade discount allowed)
Yogananda signed himself as “Swami” prior to 1935 when he received the 
title, “Paramahansa.” He was one of the most influential Indian spiritual teachers 
to come to America and is most famous for his 1946 book, “The Autobiography 
of a Yogi.”
