The author was a Naval Lieutenant stationed in the South Seas. Covers
the Auckland to Lake Taupo expedition in New Zealand and travels to
South Pacific islands including Fiji, Tongan Islands, Samoa, the
Solomon Islands, Norfolk Island, Friendly Islands. Spine rubbed,
mainly at the hinges, else very good+ to near fine, rebound with new
endpapers, small nick to fore edge of title page, some occasional
very light foxing, small tear to folds of map, leaves clean, plates
bright. A handsome copy in the elusive first edition with colored

U.S. funds on a U.S. bank. New York residents please add appropriate
sales tax or forward a tax id number. Libraries and Institutions can
be billed. Trade allowance. Postage for Domestic orders is $4.00 for
the first book and $1.50 for each additional volume. Books are
normally shipped Media Mail. For international orders, postage is
calculated individually. All books may be returned in original
condition for any reason within two weeks with prior notification.
