title pasted over with the copper engraved arms (approx. 2” x 2”) of a previous

The first Italian translation of one of the earliest texts on Babylonian 
history. Also included are a collection of fragments purporting to be the work of 
Greek and Latin writers in Italian translation, first published in Rome in 
1498 with commentary by Giovanni Nanni, who was probably the author himself.
