SHAW, George Bernard IN GOOD KING CHARLES'S GOLDEN DAYS. A HISTORY LESSON
Constable and Co Ltd London (1939) First Edition.  Laurence A237a: issue in 
boards.  INSCRIBED and SIGNED by the author on the half title page and dated by 
him 9 November 1939 to his secretary of thirty years Blanche Patch. Bookplate of 
noted Shaw collector Harold C. Ackert on the front pastedown.  Joints frayed and 
splitting but covers still tight.  Chipping to darkened spine heel and head with 
slight loss of lettering at top.  A superb Shaw association copy.  Still Very 
Good, lacking the dustwrapper.    $2000.00
