CATALOGUE OF THE THIRD ART EXHIBITION, AT THE ROOMS OF THE YOUNG MEN'S 
ASSOCIATION, IN THE ATHENAEUM, TROY.

Troy; D.H. Jones: 1860.

A list of 7 marble statues, 179 paintings and 15 drawings; the title and 
artist, and in many cases the current owner of the work, are also supplied. 
The artists appear to have been mainly East-Coasty Americans, and included 
Albert Bierstadt, Eastman Johnson, J.F. Kensett, A.B. Durand, Homer Martin, 
W.T. Richards, Jasper Cropsey, Frederick E. Church, and many other 
lesser-lights. The Troy Young Men's Association was formed in 1834/5. They 
held their first annual art exhibition in 1858; the final exhibition was in 
1862 at which point the young men of Troy probably had other stuff to worry 
about. Softcover. 6.25"x8", 11 pages; original plain brick-red covers; some 
soil and scuffs, a very minor gouge affects the last several pages along 
the outer margin, not affecting text; spine cracking and very, very tender; 
a very fragile piece. [08572] $150.00

may be reserved pending payment; Institutions may be billed; Standard 
courtesies to institutions and the trade; Postage charges are $5.00 for the 
first book, and $1.50 for each additional book. Shipments outside the U.S. 
will be billed at cost. We accept returns if we are notified within ten 
days of your receipt of the books-please ask for full instructions and 
terms. Massachusetts residents must add 5% state sales tax.
