      This life of Lincoln draws on other contemporary Lincoln biographies 
for the first part of the book, but is of most value for the detailed 
account of Lincoln's funeral train, information on the Lincoln National 
Monument Association, and the construction of Lincoln's tomb in Oak Ridge 
Cemetery. Includes a fold-out map showing Lincoln's route from Springfield 
to Washington in 1860, and the route of his funeral train back again in 
1865. The final two chapters in this edition are not found in other 
editions, nor do they appear in the index herein. MONAGHAN #944. Bound in 
dark brown cloth over boards with spine lettered in gilt, both boards 
stamped in blind, and gilt facsimile Lincoln signature on upper board. 
Frontispiece portrait of Lincoln with tissue guard in place, fold-out map is 
clean, bright, and free of tears. Most of the textblock is browned, minor 
rubs to extremities. Hinges not cracked, binding strong. Handsome copy.
