SLOANE,  Eric.  ORIGINAL  DRAWING used on page 80  of  THE  SECOND
BARREL.  [1969].  An 11" x 15" pen-and-ink drawing by Sloane  used  in
his  book  THE  SECOND BARREL. SIGNED and INSCRIBED by the  artist  in
green  ink at the bottom to Howard Wolf and dated 1971. The subject of
the  drawing  is  "When Corn Was King" and depicts a  corn  crib,  cob
handles,  a  corn broom, a cob pipe, harvest garlands,  corn  dolls, a
knife-and-pail  corn-sheller, a cob loom-spool, and a corn  stopper. A
faint  printer's  notation of "40% off" in green at the upper  margin.
Nicely  matted  to  an overall size of 17" x 21" ready to  be  framed.
Near Fine, attractive, and scarce.                            $1500.00
