bound in the original pebbled blue cloth with gilt lettering on the
front cover and spine; 99 pages. Illustrated with 9 full-page tinted
lithographs and 8 wood engravings, all but one full page, and with
the text surrounded by a decorative border printed in green. Contains
"A Runlet of Ale," a poem by Gray illustrated by McNevin; "Ale:
Antiquarian, Historical and Literary" by Savage; and "Albany Ale, An
Account of the Rise and Progress of the Brewery of John Taylor & Sons,
Illustrated, With a Biographical Sketch of the Founder." Old
newspaper clipping of a review of the book pasted to front free
endpaper. Front hinge cracked but holding; tear to spine head and
nick along spine edge with wear to corners. Very Good copy of this
uncommon book. $350.00
