SMITH,  Thorne.  TOPPER.  New York: McBride 1926. First  Edition.  His
classic  and  a difficult book to locate, extremely so when SIGNED  as
this  copy  is.  Additionally  INSCRIBED  by  the  author  "To  Doctor
Sanman/To  help  people is the/meaning of Christ." The front hinge  is
cracked  and  has  been adequately if not professionally  repaired  at
some  time with glue. Spine darkened with some wear at head. Lacks the
scarce dustwrapper. Good copy and very desirable.             $2000.00
