1]   ARP, [HANS, born JEAN ARP.]   DIE WOLKENPUMPE 
(Cloud-pump.)  [Hannover]: Paul Steegemann, cop. 1920.  First edition 
of this rarity.  Original wrappers with design by Arp,  [24] pages 
(first page is blank, title on p. [2]) last [4] pages are 
advts.   Small white mark on edge of front wrapper, 1/4 inch tear on 
rear wrapper, otherwise a well-preserved copy.  Publisher's 
announcement for Otto Flake's "Nein und Ja" laid in, with much 
mention of Arp. His first book of poetry, printed without capital 
letters or

2] HUELSENBECK,  RICHARD.   EN AVANT DADA. EINE GESCHICHTE DES 
DADAISMUS.  Hannover, &c.: Paul Steegemann, (1920.)  First Edition of 
this earliest history of the Dada movement. Original printed wrappers 
- front wrapper has an (for the time) unusual typographical format, 
foreshadowing modern typography.  44, [4] pages, the last 4 pages 
being advts.  Excellent copy.  (Includes a "Trialog" between Dr. 
Smartny of the Hearst press from the State of Illinois, Peupilus, 
Priest of the Ancient Kingdom of Egypt as well as porter at the Hotel 
Excelsior, and a Dadaist.  Other pieces concern the history of Dada, 
&c.  "Dada wurde im Fruejahr 1916 in Zurich von den Herren Hugo Ball, 
Tristan Tzara, Hans Arp, Marcel Janco & Richard Huelsenback . . . in 
dem Cabaret Voltaire gegruendet."  2 came from Germany, 2 from 
Rumania, & one from France, and while Dada lasted they put on quite a

3] SCHWITTERS, KURT MERZ.  ELEMENTAR DIE BLUME ANNA, DIE NEUE ANNA 
BLUME. Eine Gedichtsammlung aus den Jahren 1918-1922. . . .  Berlin: 
Verlag der Sturm, (1922/23).  First edition.  Original wrappers, 
light wear, outside edges  somewhat browned,  half-inch tear on upper 
margins, printed on poor quality paper.   The front wrapper has a 
Dadaesque design by Schwitters.
(Prose and poetry, the latter in a number of experimental forms, 
including the last two which are more design than poetry.) 
Advertising card laid in reproducing a painting by Schwitters, "Das 
Kreuz des Erloesers" (The Cross of the Redeemer) of 1919. (A sequel 
of sorts to his famous love poem, "An Anna
