National Society of Colonial Dames in the State of Delaware: 1939.
Edition limited to 300 numbered copies.

The first monograph on Delaware silversmiths, 33 of whom are identified
and discussed, along with many of their marks. There is also a survey of
Colonial silver belonging to Delaware churches. The silver illustrated
includes both ecclesiastical and secular examples, many drawn from private
collections.

This copy belonged to Charles G. Dorman, collector and scholar of Delaware
decorative arts. It contains extensive pencil annotations in his hand
concerning pieces of silver he owned by the silversmiths in the book. A
unique and desirable copy.

Hardcover. 6"x9.5", 132 pages, 32 b/w illustrations, dinged at the spine
