The  true  First  Edition  in the original  dark  green  cloth  with a
buffalo   head  embossed  on  the   front  cover;  (xiv),  267  pages.
Illustrated  with  19 inserted plates after sketches  and  photographs
and  32  illustrated  chapter initials. INSCRIBED and  SIGNED  by  the
subject   on  the  half-title  page:   "With  the  Compliments/of  the
Subject/W.  F.  Cody/'Buffalo Bill'/To A. T. Taylor/Oct.  14th  1899."
Graff  4616;  Howes  W-297. Typical slight brittleness  to  the  cheap
paper;  front  hinge  partly cracked but neatly  repaired  and  tight;
slight  wear  to spine tips with possible repair to spine  edge.  Very
Good or better and increasingly scarce.                       $3500.00
