This is the first single volume complete Old Testament in Bengali. It is a 
revised version translated by William Yates (1792-1845) a Baptist missionary who 
was first stationed at Serampore, and afterwards at Calcutta. The first 
Bengali Old Testament was translated by William Carey. It was published in 4 parts 
between 1802-1809. Darlow & Moule 2079.
