not on title page or plates), otherwise an  excellent copy.  In 
addition to the frontispiece and coats of arms, this copy is 
extra-illustrated with portraits, an old check  of 1791 by Ward's 
father, & clippings.  Inscribed to Montana pioneer, Edwin R. Purple, 
from author/genealogist, Henry T. Drowne, 1876.
