A small archive of material relating to the Coatesville Ice Company.
Coatesville, Pennsylvania, c.1903-1914.  Several hundred pieces of
correspondence and related material from the Coatesville Ice Company, for
the period between the time it was founded in 1903 to the time the
building was demolished and sold for scrap in 1914. This includes material
regarding the building of the ice house and machinery, negotiations with
the neighboring Pocono Ice Company over water rights, papers regarding
sawdust, machinery, freight charges, insurance, fire safety, and other
matters. It concludes with letters relating to the end of the lease on the
land the ice company was located on, and the demolition of the buildings.
Almost all the correspondence was written to or by W.S. Harlan, the
Secretary of the company. [09359] $400.00

All payments must be in U.S. funds and negotiable through a U.S. bank; We
accept checks, money orders, American Express, Visa and Mastercard. Books
may be reserved pending payment; Institutions may be billed; Standard
courtesies to institutions and the trade; Postage charges are $5.00 for
the first book, and $2.00 for each additional book. Shipments outside the
U.S. will be billed at cost. We accept returns if we are notified within
ten days of your receipt of the books-please ask for full instructions and
terms. Massachusetts residents must add 5% state sales tax.
