      [PHOTOGRAPHY].  Das Deutsche Lichtbild [German Annual of 
Photography].  Ten volumes, from Volume 2 (1928/1929) through volume 11 
(1938).  Berlin: Verlag Robert & Bruno Schulz, 1929-1938.
      4to, original grey cloth, the first volume in the original 
glassine wrapper, all but one of the other volumes (1931) in the 
original dustjackets.  Also included are the separate pamphlets 
providing the English translation of the text for the years 1928/29, 
1930, 1931, 1932, 1935, 1937, and 1938, as well as a prospectus and 
order form for the 1931 volume.  A few of the dustjackets have some 
light wear at the edges, one of the pamphlets has a small coffee stain 
on the upper wrapper, otherwise this is a fine set.
      A beautiful journal featuring anywhere from a hundred to 
two-hundred photos in each volume from unknown amateurs as well as the 
acknowledged masters.  The quality of printing is exquisite, and the 
essays that preface each volume cover the range of technical and 
artistic aspects of photography.  A splendid record of photography in 
Germany between the wars.  (Please note: these are quite heavy, so
