Original printed wrappers, front wrap. has some edge-chipping.  [4], 
124 pages.
Wright I-427.  The first title in a projected edition of Brown's 
works which was abandoned after only 2 titles were issued.  Uncommon.

*** ATKINSON'S CASKET OR GEMS OF LITERATURE .  .  .  Phila.:, Oct., 
1835, #10.   Disbound.  Contains an engraving of a scene 
from  Brown's Arthur Mervyn after G. Fairman, and 3 pages of comment 
& excerpts from this novel on the yellow fever epidemic in  Phila. in 
1793.  This number also has a half-page view on tinted paper of a 
long covered bridge over the Schuylkill River at Reading,
