cm., 8 FP exquisite, tinted and hand colored 
plates. A Devotional, meant as a childrens' book, 
since every plate except the Frontis. [showing an 
angel, only] shows a parent with a child. Printed 
in Germany for Weik. . OCLC, 7 Locs.  Dec. 
pictorial Lithographed boards, a Very Good copy. $450.00

2.	Fenwick, Mrs. Mary and her cat. In words not 
exceeding two syllables. Philadelphia. Published 
by Jacob Johnson, No. 147 Market-Street. [ca. 
1806]. T.[1]. [2-4]. 5-35 [36]  Pp.; illus.; 13.5 
vm.; paper covers; P. 36 has: Printed by Joseph 
Rakestraw. Engd. Illus. on  t. [1] and 11 engd. 
Illusts. in text all signed WSsc. [William 
Ralph]. Adv. in 1806 by Johnson. The English Ed., 
titled Mary and her Cat, was issued by Tabart & 
Co. in 1804. Welch 821, locating two copies at MH 
[p. 13-14 Mut.], and CtHi[ P. 35-36 
wanting].  Our copy  wants about half of P. 
17/18. With a few short edge tears, and some sewn 
repairs, affecting no text or Illus. Orig. Bdg, 
gray Bds, calf back, VG. $750.00

3.	[Kilner, Dorothy] The History of a Great Many 
Little Boys & Girls For The Amusement of All Good 
Children of Four and Five Years of Age. Hartford: 
printed by Charles Hosmer. 1815.  10 cm., Fr.[2], 
t. [3], [4-alphabet], 5-31 [2] Pp. In original 
gray printed wraps, large wood engd. Vignette on 
front wrap, FP wood eng. on rear wrap. FP wood 
engs. Frontis., and 15 charming Wood engravings 
in the text. One of these is signed with an "M", 
Abraham Mason[?]. Welch 727, 3 Locs., 1 a 
fragment, the other two lacking a page or half 
page. VG, the only known complete copy. $450.00

4.	Myers, Sara A.: The Balloon. Translated From 
the German by Sarah Myers. John Weik, Publisher. 
Philadelphia. 12no, (4), 123 [1], [2]. Original 
color printed boards, with a title Litho in color 
and 3 further FP hand colored lithographs. Boards 
loose, preserved in a folding slip case and box.  $200.00

5.	Anon. Turner & Fisher's Golden Toys. / Sweet 
Home. Turner & Fisher No. 16 North Sixth Street, 
Philadelphia. / 74 Chatham Street, New York. / I. 
B. Keller, 56 ½ Market Street, Baltimore / James 
Fisher, 71 Market Street, Boston. [1842?] : ill. 
; 15 cm., 8 Pp., pages printed on one side, only. 
All plates hand colored, as issued. Verso of the 
last page [wrapper] with a FP ad for Turner & 
Fisher. This ad is wholly different from that on 
the AAS copy, and includes "Boston Crockett 
Almanacs". Text within entirely stories with 
pictures, Viz. Going out to ride , The humble 
home, The kite, Playing ball, Jumping the rope, 
Swinging, Short stories, The lion and the cow, 
The little blind boy. As noted by the AAS: 
According to Philadelphia city directories, 
Turner & Fisher published at 15 North Sixth 
Street, Philadelphia between 1841 and 1850; the 
firm published at 52 Chatham St., New York 
between 1838 and 1842. James Fisher published 
under his own name in Boston at 71 Court St. from 
1838 to 1848. H.A. Turner is listed at 10 Court 
St. in the Baltimore city directory of 1842 only; 
he is not listed in available Baltimore 
directories for 1840-41, 1843, or 1845. Unnoted 
at OCLC-RLIN., UCLA, U. S. Mi. Original stitching 
plus a little added stitching at spine, Very 
Good. OFFERED WITH Anon. Happy home. Turner & 
Fisher, N.Y. and Phila., [between 1836 and 
1849?]: [8] Pp. : ill. 12 cm.: In verse. The firm 
Turner & Fisher published in New York from 1836 
until 1849, and in Philadelphia from 1835 until 
1850. Pu. Ad., p. [4] of wrap. The front wrap is 
hand colored, but the illustrations within are 
not. With penciling of easy words on blank verso 
of front wrap. Owner's name, "George Edwin Keyes" 
is written in an adult hand in the Fr. wrap 
margin.It is sewn into heavier boards, and has been well preserved. $375.00

6.	Anon.: The Winter Evening, or, Stories 
instructive and amusing for young persons / with 
cuts. New York : Printed for T.B. Jansen & Co., 
1802.  Frontis, [1-2] [t.3-4], (5)-24, (25-26) 
Pp. [of 31 Pp.] : ill. ; 14 cm. Title vignette. 
With plain gray front wrap, last page being a Fp 
wood engraving, one of two included, the other 
being a Frontis. Welch 1440, known by one copy, 
at Col. Teacher's College. It has a different 
plan of t.[1], [2-3], 4-31. Worn, a few small edge tears, Ow good. $450.00
