ANON. MR. DURANT'S ASCENSION FROM BOSTON IN 1834: Salem, Mass., Ives 
& Jewitt [1834?] 1 v. (unpaged) 22 cm blank book with neat 
calligraphy lessons on some pages. Illustrated t.p shows the 
ascension in a wood engraving Approx. 16 x 18 cm. probably from a 
drawing, as too early for a Daguerrotype or Talbotype. Includes a 
poem on the back cover: Mr. Durants address, upon his ascension from 
Boston Common, July, 1834 , 6 stanzas of 4 verse lines, each.
