London edition.  8vo, original cloth, spine faded but quite readable, 
front inner joint a little rough, light rubbing.  Frontispiece of a 
rocket in flight, 3 plates (fueling a rocket at the Raketenflugplatz, 
&c) & 6 text-illustrations (path of a rocket shot around the earth, 
sectional views of 2 German rockets, flight of a rocket-plane across 
the Atlantic, moon flight and return, path of a flight to Venus, &c. 
Sound familiar ??)  Ownership signature of Douglas Webster of 
Aberdeen, Scotland, & bookplate of nuclear scientist and sci-fi 
author Milton Rothman showing a man reading and looking at the 
heavens.  Webster was an avid sci-fi enthusiast and editor of several 
fanzines. An interesting double provenance in a work some of whose 
predictions have only recently come to fruition.
