decorations on both covers and elaborate gilding and raised bands on 
the spine, all edges gilt, just slightly rubbed.  Signed inscription 
on the fly leaf by John Wanamaker to his wife , Mary B. Wanamaker, 
Atlantic City,1920, with his characteristic signature, along with an 
older Trinity College inscription.   (Famous Philadelphia merchant,
