and stylistic instructions. John C.L. Sparkes, from whose works this was
adapted, was the Headmaster of the National Art Training School in South
Kensington, Director of the Lambeth School of Art, and an important figure
at the Doulton factories at the time. Uncommon. Softcover. 4.75”x7.25”, 85
pages, 2 b/w plates and several wood engraved text illustrations;
publisher’s yellow softcovers; covers with some soil and wear, front hinge
