18pp; colophon (verso blank); triple rear flyleaves.  "Thirty copies 
printed for private distribution."   This copy came from James 
Kenney, a Carmel friend of the poet.  First edition, among Jeffers's 
very rarest books, preceding the trade edition of HUNGERFIELD AND 
OTHER POEMS by two years.  Rare in dust jacket.  Rare without dust

exceptionally fine in dust jacket priced $3.00, with date code at the 
base of the front flap, 1/54. This copy is inscribed on the flyleaf 
"Sincerely / Robinson Jeffers," beneath a careful erasure of 
another's inscription.  450.00
