Plate #279 from ANIMAL LOCOMOTION. [Philadelphia: Printed by the 
Photo-Gravure Company for The University of Philadelphia, 1887].   19" x 
24" = an untrimmed copy. One corner of the outer frame chipped; two-inch 
tear (no loss) in an outer white margin, way beyond the image; foxing in 
the white border; very light foxing in the right portion of the toned inner 
border. Very good. The photographic image portion of the broadsheet is in 
fine condition.  Two sequences of eight successive images, a nude man 
swinging a baseball bat at a baseball.  His is a downward swing, no 
outfield blast here. Besides, he is in a batting cage.
