[FAULKNER, William & FORD, Ruth] SIGNED Contract Amendment for
REQUIEM FOR A NUN
17 Nov. 1958. This document, in the form of a letter addressed to
Faulkner, transfers the agreement in the Minimum Basic Production
Contract from Breakthrough Inc. to the Theatre Guild. It is principally
SIGNED by Ruth Ford, who adapted the book into a play, COSIGNED by
Faulkner, and countersigned by a representative from the Authors League
of America-Dramatists Guild with the association's blindstamp. Along
with this original document are photocopies of three relevant pages from
the original Minimum Basic Production Contract and a photocopy of a
letter dated 28 November 1958 from the Dramatists Guild acknowledging
the amendment and stating that four copies of it exist. Faulkner
contracts are exceptionally scarce. Fine $5000.00
