      [POSTER].  Original publisher's poster for the "Century" magazine. 
  [NY, ca. 1901].
      Measures appx. 19 1/4 by 14 inches, printed in black and dull 
yellow on buff-colored paper.  Lower corners chipped, not affecting the 
image; slight bit of discoloration from an old matt in the margins 
(again, not affecting the image); long closed tear (appx. 6 inches) at 
the top right, repaired with archival tape and now just barely visible, 
certainly not obtrusive).
      This poster by George Williams was done for the May "Foreign 
Travel" issue, and features a very Edwardian couple gazing through 
binoculars at enlarged versions of various iconographic sites--the Arc 
d'Triomphe, the Pyramids and Sphinx, etc.
