FS: antiquarian LAW and POLITICS sets, dealer priced:

These are out of my specialty areas so they are offered for quick sale.

High, James L. [Editor] Speeches of Lord Erskine, While at the Bar.
Chicago: Callaghan & Co., 1876. 8vo, 4 volumes (complete). Tan buckram with
black stamped spine titles, engraved frontis portrait. Very tight and sound,
no marks, minimal wear to corner tips. A few specks on bottom text block of
a couple of volumes – light sanding would remove. Spines very slightly
darkened, books would profit from a good superficial cleaning. At least VG+.
$75 ppd media mail in USA (at cost elsewhere).

Woodburn, James Albert [re-edited, with historical textual notes by]:;
Johnston, Alexander, (original editor):
American Eloquence: Studies in American Political Theory. Four Volumes
(revised edition). NY: G. P. Putnam’s Sons, 1896 (Knickerbocker Press)
8vo, ¾ leather over marbled paper with gilt-ruled edges to leather, gilt
spine titles, top edges gilt, fore edges rough-cut. Moderate edgewear, with
some wear-through at corner tips, 2-inch chip at front joint of Vol 1.
Spines are dry, a few small areas chipped, could use a good feeding. Books
are clean and unmarked internally, aside from some staining to initial and
terminal page edges from pastedown adhesive. A good set, scarce in complete
form, that could profit from a small amount of TLC. $120 ppd media mail USA
(at cost elsewhere).
