by John Quincy Adams, James Buchanan, Grover Cleveland, Teddy Roosevelt, 
and more.

[BUCHANAN, James] COMYN, Samuel. A TREATISE OF THE LAW RELATIVE TO
CONTRACTS  AND  AGREEMENTS NOT UNDER SEAL.... Volume II (only) of  two
volumes.  Flatbush,  NY:  Isaac  Riley  1809.  First  Edition.  Octavo
(5-3/4"  x 9-1/4") bound in contemporary sheep recently rebacked  with
new black gilt-stamped morocco spine labels. The second volume of two,
containing  the  final  two of four parts, but this copy  belonged  to
President  James Buchanan and is SIGNED by him, clearly and darkly, on
top  of the title page. Books signed by Buchanan are hard to come  by.
