large engraved vignette (with a greyhound running) and text with 17 large 
engraved portraits, each with engraved text. Cont. paneled calf, spine and corners 
of covers rubbed; spine extremities chipped, still quite sound.     $850.00

The first English edition of this curious work (later editions appeared in 
1658, 1664 and 1671). Included are portraits & text on Michael Servetus, John 
Hutt, Mahomet, Lodowick Hetzer, David George, etc. etc. In 1655 this book was 
sold separately (Wing R1944), as well as being appended (the second part) to Ross
’s “Pausebeia, or, a View of All Religions in the World” (Wing R1972).
