page, stub-mounted ALS from Binyon on British Museum embossed paper: 14 Feb.
1901 / Dear Mr. Hutchinson, / Thank you much for / your kind remembrance /
of me at the New Year, & / for your note of today. / I cannot say I take /
great interest in reviews / of my work, & take no pains / to see them; but
that does / not diminish my / appreciation of your kind / interest in my
poems, / which prompted you to / send the cutting. The Odes / I am sure are
by far / the best stuff I have published, / though they have been received /
more coldly than any book / of mine. Still they have / found appreciation,
some of it / enthusiastic, from friends / & others whose judgment should /
count for a good deal. / Forgive my speaking of myself. / Again, thank you.

marks to covers. Letter is mounted after the title page and could be easily
