Joe Kennedy, eldest of the Kennedy brothers, was killed during a failed
mission in 1944 to destroy the German V3 Supergun site, designed by
Albert Speer, at Mimoyecques, France.

[KENNEDY, Robert] KENNEDY, John Fitzgerald. AS WE REMEMBER JOE.
Cambridge, MA: Privately Printed 1945. First Edition. Burgundy cloth
with gilt lettering on the spine and the title in gilt on black on
the front cover. Illustrated with photographs. One of 250 copies of
the Second Issue with the title page printed entirely in black. There
were 360 copies of the First Issue of this privately printed book by
the University Press memorializing the oldest brother of the future
