JARRELL, Randall. LITTLE FRIEND, LITTLE FRIEND. New York: Dial
Press 1945. First Edition. His second book. INSCRIBED on the front
free endpaper, clearly in Jarrell's hand though not signed by him, is
the last poem of the book, perhaps his best known, "The Death of the
Ball Turret Gunner," with its famous last line: "When I died they
washed me out of the turret with a hose." Near Fine in dustwrapper
with small tears and chips. $3500.00
