Association], 1922. First printing, Original cloth, Octavo, xxiv, 324 pages, 
black and white photographs, illus.. Good.
      Many interesting facts concerning the rise of the port of New York as 
seen by the harbor pilots of New York and New Jersey. Includes many stories, 
illustrations, anecdotes, and recollections. There is a memorial section to 
those pilots lost while on duty and background on over 150 companies and 
other interests associated with New York Harbor. Bound in dark blue cloth 
over flexible card covers. Gilt lettering on spine and upper board has 
faded. This copy is stamped "Compliments of Panama Railroad Steamship Line" 
at bottom edge of front cover. Minor extremity rubs, spine somewhat fallen 
in, slightly cocked. Prior owner name penned at top of front free endpaper. 
There is some light scattered foxing to first couple of leaves.
