New York: Navy Yard, 1944-[1950?]. Binder, Folio, , fold-out deck plans, 
diagrams. Good.
      World War II Damage Control book for the battleship U.S.S. Missouri. 
This is a large format book of several hundred pages and numerous large, 
detailed fold-out diagrams and deck plans specific to this historic ship. 
Detailed reference to various systems and features such as decks and 
bridges, ventilation, communications, fuel and diesel oil, firemain and 
sprinklers, cross sections, and much more. This particular manual appears to 
have been used aboard the ship as there are pencil notations in several 
places. Some of the diagrams appear to date as late as 1950. Handwritten 
note "Plate #116 missing" appears on front blank page, though the very last 
illustration in the book is "Plate EC116, Casualty Power Supply System 
Electrical Wiring Diagram" dated 1944. The whole is bound in a large 
cloth-over-boards binder held with two screw posts at spine. Front board has 
a 1.5 inch tear at fore edge. The exterior shows minor rubs, wear, and some 
scattered paint specks and other minor stains. Interior shows pencil marks 
and finger soil from use, but no significant damage.
