Our Catalogue 7: Asia Part II: Japan is now available. It lists 290
items including a large number of works on Japanese art such as
Siegfried Bing's Artistic Japan (complete in 36 issues), Barboutau's
Biographies des artistes japonais, Gaston Migeon,'s Chefs-d'oeuvre
d'art japonais, volumes from the Ledoux collection, Louise Norton
Brown's Block Printing & Book Illustration in Japan, works on
ceramics such as Sozan No Toki. (1923) and Kazan Sakuhin Shu (1920),
Gunsaulus's Japanese Sword-mounts in the Collections of the Field
Museum (signed). Also: the first issues of Dajokan nisshi (32 issues
from 1868 & 1871), the first publication of Aime Humbert's
description of Japan from his visit in 1863-4 as minister
plenipotentiary from Switzerland during its first trade delegation:
"Le Japon...1863-1864" in 23 parts in Tour du Monde (in complete
issues) as well as the first American edition entitled "Japan and the
Japanese. Illustrated." Plus Osaka Tekkojo. (ca 1903) with 60 plates,
a transcript of a war crimes trial with the defendant found not
guilty, a record of the building of the Meiji Shrine, Meiji jingu
zoeishi. (1930), a large collection of auction catalogues on Netsuke,
and much more.

Call or email us to reserve a book. We accept checks, money orders,
American Express, Mastercard, and Visa. Foreign orders should be in
U.S. funds on a U.S. bank. New York residents please add appropriate
sales tax or forward a tax id number. Libraries and Institutions can
be billed. Trade allowance. Postage for Domestic orders is $4.00 for
the first book and $1.50 for each additional volume. Books are
normally shipped Media Mail. For international orders, postage is
calculated individually. All books may be returned in original
condition for any reason within two weeks with prior notification.
