SCHLEIFER, JOHANN. DISTICHA EVANGELIORUM TOTIUS ANNI-COMPENDIOSO CARMINE DESCRIPTA. [Wittenberg? ca. 1570?] One gathering of 8 leaves, 5 1/2 X 3 1/2 inches bound in a folded printed leaf in Latin. Old exlibris written at foot of title page. Woodcut illustrations of The Passion on recto and verso of title leaf; other decorations plus a tailpiece of acorns and oak leaves. The author, an attorney, is described as a "Laureato ac Jure
Consulto." The dedication of this Latin poem is to [Duke?] Christopher Albert & Elizabeth, and to his fellow poet, Johann Christoper Fuchs of Wallenberg. Apparently unknown to OCLC, Adams & KVK. (The KVK does list a copy of his "Elogiae . . . Pauli Eberi Senioris", Wittenberg, 1570, at the University Library at Augsburg.) Need we say, RARE.
