(McKINLEY, WILLIAM) “W. McK. 1843-1901.” Fine calligraphic manuscript on 
vellum, 8 leaves (on rectos only). Small folio, executed in black, gray and 
purple ink. Commissioned by Trinity Church, New York, lamenting the assassination 
of President William McKinley and offering condolences to Mrs. McKinley. 
Produced by Tiffany & Co. (calligrapher not named), and signed on the final leaf 
below the official seal of Trinity Church. This final leaf also signed by the 
Rector and the Clerk of the church. In full black pebbled morocco, with a large 
tooled silver ornament (the seal of the Trinity Church) affixed to the front 
cover. Housed in a fine ebony presentation box. Fine.     $4,500.00 (trade
