are illustrated with a woodcut. A large foldout printed in brown on blue 
paper illustrates how the locks function. The special edition limited to 43 deluxe 
numbered copies (total printing of 350) bound in red Nigerian goatskin (round 
inlay on front cover), gilt stamped spine. This is copy # II. It is 
accompanied by a suite of 12 proofs of the engravings, each signed and dated in pencil 
by John Craig. The proofs are loosely housed in a brown cloth portfolio, and 
the 2 elements are housed in the publisher's matching cloth slipcase. Fine.
