edition. Advance copy (uncorrected proof) in 
plain mottled blue wrappers. [iv] + 224 pp + 
[iv]. No map endpapers, although the maps are 
integrally the first and last leaves. A few spots 
to the half-title leaf, some mild spine creases, 
a very good or better copy in the original colour 
pictorial dust wrapper with artwork by George 
Adamson. The dust wrapper fits this slightly 
smaller proof perfectly and has not been supplied 
from a published copy of the book; priced at 12s 
6d on the front panel, with light wear to edges 
and slight fraying to spine tips. Overall, an 
attractive example of the rare 1st issue of the author's first book.  $1500.00

First edition. Quarto, original blue boards

wrapper, all by Lynch. Small remainder mark to 
bottom page edges, a fine copy in a fine, price-clipped dust wrapper. $30.00
