Report of Phillips Abbott.  Film Machine Patents for The Anthony & Scovill Company and The Goodwin Film and Camera Company March 7, 1907 and Feb 20, 1914

Bound volume of original typewritten reports, and carbon reports, signed by Phillips Abbott together with annotated patent Specifications and patent drawings from the United States Patent Office. 

25 pages typewritten report by Phillips Abbott reporting on a number of patents thatmight affect the business of the Goodwin Film and Camera Company et al..  Report indicates what Anthony & Scovill and Goodwin Film must not do or can do in developing new products and processes to keep free from litigation. Signed by Phillips Abbott and also signed by 
Edward C. Davidson "I have read the foregoing and concur therein"  Davidson was the attorney who won the famous Goodwin case against Eastman Kodak. Most of the patent records included have been annotated and identified by Abbott.  

5 page typewritten report by Phillips Abbott dated Feb 20, 1914 to Ansco Company,the surviving company of Anthony Scovill and Goodwin Film. In re "the Wheel Machine for Film manufacture" Signed by Phillips Abbott.

Together with many Patent drawing copies and Specification sheets from the U.S. Patent Office, with annotations. 

2 page typewritten index to volume. 

Eastman Kodak and The Anthony Scovill - Goodwin Film companies were in a long Patent fight during this period, with Eastman Kodak losing the case and having to pay $5 million dollars, which was a good percentage of the Assets of Kodak at the time. The Famous "Hannibal Goodwin" Case. 

Phillips Abbott was an inventor (I'm still researching) but might have been a Patent Attorney or?

An important original document relating to Patents during a most important time for Motion Picture and Amateur photography development.
