Volumes. London: Printed by G. Auld for J. Sewell et al. 1800. Lg. 4to. 2 vols. 
xxxii,374,(8);iv,(4),576pp. Index. Illustrated with a copper engraved map and 
numerous statistical tables. With the list of subscribers. Orig. full calf, 
some rubbing, gilt decorated spine, extremities a bit chipped, red & black 
calf spine labels. Hinges starting but still holding nicely. Old paper 
labels at tops of spines. Occasional pencil marginal notations in Farsi.

Vol. II has a slightly different imprint reading, "Printed by J. Swan and 
Co." This work was completed by the translator in Calcutta, Sept. 1st 1783, & 
was first printed in India. We offer the first London edition. The subject 
of this work was Akbar Emperor of Hindustan (1542-1605).
