(SIGNED).
(Dayton, OH): Rockywood Press, 1998. First thus, Full cloth, Quarto, x, 438 
pages, Black & White photographs. Fine in a Near Fine Dust Jacket, Jacket in 
Mylar protector.
      Revised and expanded from Ostendorf's and Charles Hamilton's 1963 
"Lincoln in Photographs," the present book contains significant additional 
material, including the Lincoln photographs discovered since 1963 and 
numerous photographs of Lincoln's family and associates. The new photographs 
of Lincoln carry the total to 130 (though #O-130, thought to be a 
clandestine postmortem, has since been convincingly debunked by Harold 
Holzer) and are printed unretouched and uncropped wherever possible, with 
each image carefully catalogued and placed in context of its time and 
technology. The additional images of Lincoln's family include one that 
purports to be Eddie Lincoln, of whom no image was previously thought to 
exist. BURKHIMER #89. INSCRIBED and SIGNED by Ostendorf on title page, with 
a photograph I suspect is of Ostendorf laid in. There is also a circular 
postal stamp from Dayton, Ohio (Ostendorf's town) on title page dated May 
29, 1999. Bound in red cloth over boards with spine lettered in silver foil. 
Fore edge of textblock has a small brown spot of staining. Jacket has a few 
tiny rubs at extremities. Clean and crisp overall....... $150.00
