New York: Rimington & Hooper, Publishers, 1930. Limited edition, Original
cloth, Folio, xxiv, 80 pages, black and white plates, facsimiles. Near fine.
Smith's original text is reproduced here along with photographic
plates of the original title page and a few other plates. Interesting
information on Smith's first experiences in New England and Virginia, which
were to serve him well when he later returned. Wroth provides an excellent
bibliographic overview of the work. This is copy #14 of 327 in a very
handsome edition designed and printed Richard W. Ellis at the Georgian
Press. The book was the third issued in the Savoy Editions series. Bound in
coarse light maroon cloth over bevelled boards with paper title label on
spine. Fore and bottom edges of textblock rough cut. Spine label has a small
brown stain, faint stain on upper board, otherwise clean and bright in
sturdy binding....... $75.00
