Greetings Booklovers,

We are pleased to offer:
~
(No. 10565 ) Hobson, J[onathan]. T[odd]. FOOTPRINTS OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN,
PRESENTING MANY INTERESTING FACTS, REMINISCENCES AND ILLUSTRATIONS NEVER
BEFORE PUBLISHED.
Dayton: Otterbein Press, 1909. First printing, Original cloth, Duodecimo,
114 pages, black and white photographs, illus.. Good.
Interesting little volume with many portraits and reminiscences of
people then still living who had known Lincoln. Here are the story (and a
portrait) of the Haskins triplets purportedly named by Lincoln, a photo of
"Duff" Armstrong late in life, letters from a surviving attorney in that
case, a photo of Lincoln's mill, Lincoln's prohibition work with J. B.
Merwin, and much more. MONAGHAN #1746. Bound in brown cloth over boards with
gilt-stamped title on upper board and spine. Mild extremity rubs and shallow
bumps, prior ownership name and address stamped twice on front pastedown,
once on recto of frontispiece, and once on rear pastedown. Spine slightly
bowed. Frontispiece had been detached and then repaired by prior owner with
tape. This clumsy repair has now been expertly cleaned up, though still
visible....... $75.00
