Edition. Parchment-backed boards. The First Illustrated Edition of this 
modern classic, called the "Birthday Edition" as it was issued a year 
after the book's first publication, limited to 600 numbered copies 
SIGNED by both the author and the illustrator, H. M. Brock.  The 
backstrip, which is often found darkened, is in this case quite bright. 
Near Fine in a Very Good, soiled slipcase. $450.00	
Made into a film several times, the best known being the 1939 version 
for which Robert Donat won an Academy Award for Best Actor.
