Double column text. Illustrated with an engraved frontispiece, 3 folding maps
and 19 (of 21) engraved plates, many of which are folding. 8 large engraved
text illustrations. Old calf with red & black spine labels, over boards.
Extremities of boards rubbed, top & bottom of spine lightly chipped. Engraved
frontispiece repaired at inner margin. Some old text soiling at bottom inner
margin. Some plates with minor repairs. $2,500.00 (trade discount
allowed)
The first German edition translated from the Dutch (1680) by J. C. Beer,
which contains some plates not to be found in the Dutch original. This copy
has all 3 folding maps (Bassora, Natolia [Asia Minor], and Arabiae), but lacks
2 of the 21 plates.
