pp. Each vol. with an engraved frontispiece and added engraved title with a 
vignette. Further illustrated with 3 engraved portraits, a large folding 
plan of Fort Schuyler, a large folding drawing of the principals in "Talk with 
the Indians," a facsimile letter, and a plate. Original green cloth, blind &

Although this is the third known issue, the appendix of Vol. I contains a 
16pp. "Notes to the Fourth Edition;"and there is a similar paragraph in Vol. 
II. Furthermore, though this copy is indistinguishable from the last 1838
