New York: William Morrow & Company, 1949. First printing, Hardcover, 
Duodecimo, viii, 247 pages. Near fine in a near fine dust jacket, Jacket in 
Mylar protector.
      This D. A. Doug Selby mystery was originally serialized in The 
Saturday Evening Post in the summer of 1948. Bound in light blue textured 
paper over boards with red spine lettering. A few minor bumps to edges of 
boards, light rub at heel of spine. Jacket has a few tiny edge chips and 
rubs with a bit of mild soil to rear panel. A clean and tight copy overall 
in a bright and attractive jacket. Original jacket price of $2.50 remains 
intact. No prior ownership marks....... $50.00
