quarto (6" x 9-1/2") in publisher's black cloth; xi, 725, [1] pages. 
Illustrated with a folding map and engravings. BAL 13675. Contains three 
mentions of Herman Melville noted in the index (pages 7, 8, and 664, the 
first mentioning MOBY DICK). In addition there is an article on Thomas 
Melville on pages 206-208 about which BAL states: "presumably Melville 
supplied material for it. On pp. 399-400 is a direct quotation from a 
'relative' of Thomas Melville, identified in the text as a nephew, i.e., 
Herman Melville." The lightest of wear to the spine tips. Unusually Fine
